Financial Policy
There is a small charge for your initial examination, plus necessary X-rays. Those patients whose growth and development are being monitored to determine the best time to initiate their treatment are seen at periodic recall appointments which are done at a nominal charge. We want to encourage parents to feel comfortable in seeking Dr. Graham's and Dr. Limbaugh's advice, as frequently as they deem necessary, to reassure them of the proper attention to their child's problem.
When it is determined that it is time for treatment, diagnostic records are taken to determine your treatment plan and the charge for your treatment. The treatment fee is based on the severity or complexity of your problem and explained at the next appointment in which your treatment plan is presented. Before a patient begins any treatment, the total treatment fee and all treatment procedures included are discussed. Most patients pay for orthodontics over the time of treatment, financed monthly without interest, however multiple payment options are available, including no down payment. A mutual understanding between the doctor and the patient is essential to the best personal health service. Please feel free to discuss with us your treatment program and its cost.
Insurance
As a courtesy to our patients, we complete all necessary insurance forms and send them to you or to the insurance company directly. Please note that you must complete your portion of the insurance form and sign it where indicated. Do not sign the blank that requires payments sent to dentist. Unlike medical insurance, orthodontic insurance does not usually cover 100 percent of charges incurred. Our patients deal directly with our office and are reimbursed by their insurance company. We will do everything possible to help you get your maximal benefits from your insurance company. Usually there is little to no difference in the benefits you receive from your insurance company when a preferred or nonpreferred provider is chosen. "Freedom of choice" in the orthodontist you choose rather than the insurance company's choice is best for the patient. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office anytime.
